The power of the still image to summarize and memorialize, challenge and comfort is what continually draws Phoebe Sexton to the camera. She is an award-winning photojournalist who has worked for the Boston Red Sox, Harvard News Office, Boston University and a variety of corporate and individual freelance clients. She recently finished her Master of Arts in Photojournalism at the University of Missouri and has her Bachelor of Science in Photojournalism from Boston University’s College of Communication.
Originally from the midwest (Iowa) and addicted to the northeast (Boston, NYC), she is now trying her hand at the south, setting up shop in Dallas, Texas, to launch One:Eight Productions.
Phoebe believes that people are more important than things and that love is all you need, though a cup of coffee often helps along the way. She enjoys the challenge of radical acceptance and compassionate grace in her professional and personal life and is always looking to engage in a deep conversation on just about anything.
When she’s not behind a camera, Phoebe is probably singing along to her music at the top of her lungs, rooting for the Red Sox, sending out snail mail to her friends or sitting in DFW metroplex traffic. She also enjoys drawing, baking, reading, sassing, laughing and living.
She is currently available for freelance reportage, family documentary work, events, weddings and any other sort of fun visual project you want to throw at her. Let’s collaborate!
